Little Havana

It's hard to believe that Little Havana has been around for 20 years! What was an old abandoned warehouse was transformed into a Cuban getaway right in South Baltimore. Known for their consistency, killer mojitos, and super fun Brunch, Little Havana has quickly become a staple in the Federal Hill neighborhood. So you really don't think of crab cakes when you think Cuban food, but it wouldn't be Baltimore if a crab cake wasn't on the menu. So hop aboard, set sail for South Baltimore with us, and see what we thought!

Nick's Fish House

Nick's Fish House is a fairly large establishment, located right on the water in South Baltimore. It's not the easiest place to find as the roads get a little wonky over by the Hanover St. bridge, but once you find it, you won't be disappointed. Open year-round, Nick's has indoor and outdoor seating, water views, cold beer, fresh crabs, and live entertainment. Slips are available if you arrive by boat, or you can just walk over if you arrive by cruise ship. You'd expect a place that knows crabs and seafood to have a stellar crab cake. Were we disappointed? Read on to find out!

Every once in a while, you come across a place that you underestimate.  I really didn't know what to expect when I decided upon Regi's American Bistro for this week's review.  I had heard that they had really delicious food, and that stuck in my mind every time I've passed Regi's.  And now that I've been there, I have to hit myself for not going there sooner.  Regi's has been around since 1978 serving up fresh food with the 'farm to fork' philosophy, using only fresh ingredients and making everything from scratch.  So how did their crab cakes compare to the rest of the cakes we've reviewed?  Read on!
