Sunshine Grille

If there was ever a location to open a restaurant, Fork, MD would be it. We're not sure what happened to Knife and Spoon, MD, but one thing we do know is that Fork is home to the Sunshine Grille. Sunshine Grille is a Greek and American restaurant featuring fresh, local ingredients, alongside a selection of craft beers and wines, all reasonably priced to keep you coming back. So while they're not part of the regular menu (which is quite extensive), we did happen upon crab cakes on the specials menu one night. Did they live up to the reputation of the Sunshine Grille? My Three Sons

When you hear the name My Three Sons, you don't immediately think of a local pizza chain. If you're anything like us, your mind reminisces of the days gone by of the Douglas family, and start to wonder if they ever rerun that show on Nick At Nite. But instead, we believe the name stems from the fact that the owners have three sons. In any case, they get their inspiration from Mediterranean cuisine, and utilize products from local Harford county farms, stands, and businesses. Along with the many pizzas, sandwiches, and salads, are the crab cakes. Read along to find out how they were!

Bellissimo

When you hear the name Bellissimo, you instantly think of Italian cuisine, not upscale Mediterranean. Bellissimo opened in 2009 with a vision of delivering delicious healthy eating alternatives, featuring fresh ingredients and a warm casual environment. Greek and Italian-inspired murals adorn the walls, and the bar area resembles the hull of a ship. One thing is for sure -- they are in Maryland, and like any respectable local establishment, they have crab cakes on the menu! So we paddled in and decided to see how they stack up.
