Seasons Pizza is a regional pizza chain with over 25 stores in MD, PA, DE, and NJ, in addition to stadium locations in Philadelphia and Baltimore. Known for their consistency and dedication to a quality product, the News Journal in DE rated Season's as the best pizza for 4 years in a row. All of your pizzaria standards are on the menu, in addition to, what else, crab cakes! The menu says they are award winning, but we can never be too sure until we've tried them. The first "Mine" in the Silver Spring Mining Company started back in 1995 when the Silver Spring Inn in Perry Hall was for sale. Focusing on their service, in addition to the quality of their food and family atmosphere, the success of two hockey camp buddies grew into two more locations, in Hunt Valley and Bel Air. And while you can't go underground and dig for gold, you can go table-side and and find gold on your plate. No, not in rock form, but in crab cake form! Did we strike it rich, or end up with fool's gold?  Only one way to find out!  Dig in and read on!

Slices Pizzeria, located in Bel Air Plaza Shopping Center, is devoted to customer service and excellence. Using only the finest ingredients, Slices makes each item fresh and made to order. Pizzerias aren't typical for offering crab cakes, but this is Maryland, so anything is possible! We've had the pizza from Slices before, and it was pretty decent. So follow along with us to see if their crab cakes follow suit!

Remember Freddies in Bel Air? Sure, we all do. Well, they closed down in April 2013 and sat vacant for quite a while. Then, earlier this year, we saw the Steelefish Grille was going to open in it's place. Members of the Steele family used to be part owners of the old Freddies (as well as the Hickory Lodge down the street). Now they are reopening a new seafood restaurant in its place. Freddie's used to have a really good crab cake, so we had to see if the Steelefish Grille could also deliver. Read on to see what we thought!

The Sunny Day Cafe is a family-owned restaurant located in the heart of downtown Bel Air on Main St. Priding themselves on excellent service and fresh ingredients, the line out the door on any given day should speak for itself. They're only open for breakfast and lunch, though. So if you turn up after 3pm, you'll be mighty disappointed. We were lucky enough to grab a table outside on one of these last summer afternoons to sit down and try their specialty -- crab cakes! Read on to see what we thought!
