Mo's Crab and Pasta Factory

On the edge of Little Italy sits Mo's Seafood.  If you have ever driven from the Inner Harbor to Fells Point, you most likely have past by this icon under the name Mo's Fishermans Wharf.  This, however, is not that Mo's.  Believe it or not, there is another Mo's in Little Italy, owned by the same restaurant group, right around the corner (there are 5 in all, scattered around the area) under the name Mo's Crab and Pasta Factory.  Tucked away behind Della Notte, if you weren't directed there, you would have probably missed it.  But the question on all of your minds is:  How were the crab cakes?

Rip's Country Inn

Rip's Country Inn has been a local establishment since 1952, and has since grown to encompass a restaurant, liquor store and deli.  The interior decor fits the exterior, with a seating area that looks like horse stalls, and antiques adorning the walls.  They also pride themselves on making everything from scratch, which lends itself to their homestyle feel.  On their menu are the Maryland Crab Cakes.  Does being home made make them worth the visit?  Let's give them a try and find out!

Schultz's Crab House Backfin Crab Cake

Last week, the CCR reviewed Schultz's Jumbo Lump crab cake. This week, we continue our review of Schultz's and try their other popular offering, the Backfin crab cake. In case you missed it, Schultz's has a history dating back to 1950. Originally a barroom, in 1969 the place has expanded to the establishment that it is today while still carrying on the Schultz name. We felt their Jumbo Lump crab cake was quite nice, but the backfin is certainly cheaper and was on special the night we stopped by. Is it as good as the Jumbo Lump? Let's find out!
