P.J. Clarke's has quite a bit of history to it, with the original location in NYC having been around since 1868, and the name as you know it today since 1912. P.J.'s has only ever had 5 owners, and they all kept the place the same. The location we visited in Washington, D.C. has only been around since 2010, but sports some pretty impressive details that would make you think the restaurant has been around a lot longer. Located just around the corner from the White House, you can rub elbows with some of DC's power lunch crowd while having lunch or a late night meal. There are a few great things to love about food trucks. They tend to focus on one thing and do it well; you get affordable culinary-quality food; and they move about, so if you have someplace nearby where you work, say like Farragut Square, you get the best food court you could ask for that constantly changes. While on such a food truck adventure, we came across The Crab Cab, who is relatively new to the DC food truck scene. They bill themselves as a 5-star mobile "restaurant" who is affordable, and uses the freshest ingredients. Not only that, but they also cater. The Front Page has witnessed a lot of events in DC since it opened up almost 25 years ago. Not so much at the restaurant, but more so in the neighborhood. Located in Dupont Circle, The Front Page was just named one of the best brunches in America by Open Table.
