The Front Page has witnessed a lot of events in DC since it opened up almost 25 years ago. Not so much at the restaurant, but more so in the neighborhood. Located in Dupont Circle, The Front Page was just named one of the best brunches in America by Open Table. Catering to everyone from the causal sports enthusiast to politicians and businessmen, they have something for everyone. For us, they had crab cakes. Will we find a decent crab cake in DC? One name that has been synonymous with Ocean City, MD is The Greene Turtle.  We're sure most of us started going there before we really should have *wink wink*, if but for the chance to buy one of their famous t-shirts.  What has started out as a beach sports bar in 1976 has now grown to be a regional brand name, turning up in more locations as the days go on with over 35 locations across DE, MD, VA, and DC.  While mostly known as being a sports bar, they do have a pretty lengthy menu featuring some menu items that is not your typical pub grub.  Like any restaurant representing Maryland, they do serve crab cakes.  Should you break out of the ordinary to try one, or stick to the ribs and wings?  Let's find out!

The Peppermill Restaurant, located right off the beltway on York Rd. in Lutherville-Timonium, has been a local institution since they opened back in 1982. While The Peppermill has been on tour radar for a while now, it took the suggestion of Friend of the CCR, Mike A., to convince us to go. He, along with most other online reviews, warned that the clientele is made up of a mostly older crowd, but the younger generation are starting to discover what they have to offer. Food trucks can be a wonderful thing. We like to think of them as a roving food court that typically changes assemblages daily. One one such stroll down the food trucks at Franklin Square, we noticed The Seafood Boss. "Home of the All Lump Crab Cakes" that are also world-famous and award-winning. With claims like that, you know that the CCR had to check them out in our quest to find decent crab cakes in DC. Follow along as we sample their crab cakes and see what the hubbub is all about!

The Tidewater Grille is located right on the Susquehanna River, complete with outdoor seating overlooking the water, and free boat docking for their customers. No matter where you sit, you'll always have a view of the river, and everything happening in and around it. In fact, this is Havre de Grace's only waterfront restaurant. So seeing as how you can't get any closer to the water, you would hope that they know how to do seafood right.
