Lewnes' Steakhouse

Lewnes' Steakhouse is an upscale steakhouse in the Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis, serving only the finest U.S. Prime aged beef, amongst other tasty treats.  While there have been many renovations and ownership changes throughout the years, the location as a business dates back to the early 1900's.

To walk past this establishment, you may never think twice about what lies inside.  From the outside, you can really only see the bar area.  But step inside and ask for a table, and you'll be whisked away to a cozy booth with white tablecloths.  And that is where your experience begins.  But they're not just all about steaks.  They also offer crab cakes.  Should you choose between one or the other?  Let's see if we can't help you decide!

Looney's Pub

Looney's Pub was started down in the Canton section of Baltimore back in 1993. Things must have gone well, because ten years later, the Bel Air location was opened. Now Looney's has 4 locations, the other two being in Maple Lawn and College Park. Looney's Pub has won some accolades over the years, the most recent being the Harford Award in 2013 for their contributions to economic and civic life in Harford County. With the promise of awesome food, we set our sights on the beloved crab cake. Read on to see if the crab cake is on par with the expectations set!

MaGerks

You may already be familiar with MaGerks from their Federal Hill location. Back in 2000, a couple of brothers from Philadelphia decided to open their second location down in Baltimore to serve displaced Eagles fans, and quickly grew to encompass 3 bar areas and an outdoor patio. In addition, they brought you real Philly-style cheesesteaks, authentic down to the Amoroso roll. They did so well that they decided to open another location up in Bel Air. And while the Federal Hill location may have expanded their menu to include sushi, the Bel Air location's menu expanded to include crab cakes! So how did a couple of cheesesteakheads do with their version of the Maryland classic? Read on and see for yourself!
